Changing RAM/SSD and warranty

Hi, I've never purchased from PC Specialist before but I am looking at the 15.6" Lafite IV and it looks suitable for my use case.

I already have a spare M.2 SSD and 16GB of DDR4 SODIMM from my old laptop which I want to continue to use. My question is if upgrading these parts is easily supported on these laptops and will have no affect on warranty?

Also, is there any software or drivers to control the fan speeds at all?

Thanks

PCS operate an open chassis policy where you can make amendments or adjustments as you like without affecting warranty:

"Unlike with most computer manufacturers, we allow you to open the case and install your own components. Providing you install these correctly, and you do not damage your computer during or as a result of installing your own components, your warranty will still be valid. We do not provide any method of support for these components, both during installation or in use, and any warranty returns that are caused by your own components will be chargeable for both labour and return costs. If you have to return your computer to us for any reason we strongly recommend the prior removal of these components, as we cannot be held responsible for them. "

I'm not sure what model the Lafite is, but usually laptops come with management software which is Clevo Control center for clevo laptops or Gaming Center for some others, and that will usually have fan customisation.

You can also use speedfan which is free and very good to set your own fan profiles as well:

Work mainly, taking to client offices and network/server rooms, working on the road etc.

So MS Office apps, browsing, network tools (Wireshark, Putty etc). Also 1-2 Hyper-V VM's with 4GB ram each (hence the 16GB ram) doing similar tasks.

Gaming performance is irrelevant.
