I'd consider an FX-4100 or FX-4170 with your budget. A caviar black will be faster than the standard HDD you selected and the HD 7850 is better than the 560. I would try to upgrade the case (for better cooling/airflow and cable management) if you can push your budget a bit more.

To be honest, spending up to a 1000 would be fine, but I wasnt sure of the need. Why would I need more than this? Would performance suffer when running high cpu applications?

EDIT: thanks a lot for the spec and info, ill look at that now

The AMD A6-3670K has a better onboard gpu but if you are using a dedicated graphics card like the 560 or HD 7850 I'd suggest a better cpu, the FX-4170 is a better cpu than the one you selected and games like Starcraft are cpu intensive.
