This is what I ended up changing my order too, set me back a little over 150 extra and cut my position for the 3080 by 2 weeks but I think I've made the right choice, thanks all for your help and advice, the long wait starts šŸ¤£
Looks good!

Now you can start saving for the G9 and really do the 3080 some justice...

just curious why this monitor if i get a 3080?
It's an absolutely absurd monitor and only the 3080 & 3090 can really make use of it on the Nvidia side. It's essentially the best option available and if you have a GPU capable of using it why wouldn't you?

Just get a swivel chair so you can spin the whole way round haha

There's a couple of guys on the forums who have one I'm sure they could sing it's praises better than I could

With your current monitor the 3080 is overspecced and a lot of its power (and your money is wasted). Unless you are going to buy a monitor that will make use of the 3080 in the near future, it is a waste to buy one now. You could save the money and buy a 4070 or 4080 in a year or two when games will likely require a more powerful GapU for your new 8k monitor.

I would personally up the motherboard to the Strix X570, the TUF only has 2 usb headers and your system needs 3 straight off. Aside from that it's just a far more capable board.

Other than that though, it's sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet (y)

Iā€™d maaaaaybe consider changing that 2TB Corsair drive to another brand, @Bigfoot did some research and discovered that it actually has quite a poor write endurance compared to others. The Intel 670 would be almost a straight swap, the Firecuda would be luxury (and possibly a wise investment if Windows DirectStorage is as good as Iā€™m hearing itā€™s going to be).

thanks ill upgrade both, what about any extra case fans or even a better case? not sure how good mine is on cooling but i seen 3 stars

Youā€™ll be fine, the cooler will do the work. You could always buy a single SP120 Elite or an LL120 to add as an extra exhaust fan, theyā€™re really easy to install yourself. But that is largely an aesthetic move, doesnā€™t actually make all that much difference with temperatures in my experience šŸ™‚šŸ‘

went for this, silly question, ive never had 3 ssd/hdd which will windows be installed on and which will i pref install games on to run smoother

Item 1Amendments Charge: Ā£0.00
Item 21x 120mm Black Case Fan (configured to extract from rear/roof)
Item 3Change to [ASUSĀ® ROG STRIX X570-F GAMING (USB 3.2 Gen 2, PCIe 4.0) - ARGB Ready!] from [ASUSĀ® TUF X570-PLUS GAMING (USB 3.2 Gen 2, PCIe 4.0, CrossFireX) - ARGB Ready!]
Item 4Change to [2TB SEAGATE FIRECUDA 520 GEN 4 PCIe NVMe (up to 5000MB/R, 4400MB/W)] from [2TB CORSAIR MP400 NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD (up to 3480 MB/R, 3000 MB/W)]

You always want the OS on your fastest drive, so opt for the SSD. PCS will install it on the fastest SSD which in your case will be the 980 pro, which is where we want it to be.

i read online the 2TB SEAGATE FIRECUDA 520 GEN 4 PCIe NVMe (up to 5000MB/R, 4400MB/W) doesnt have any heatsink and relies on your mb having a M.2 heatsink. does my ASUSĀ® ROG STRIX X570-F GAMING (USB 3.2 Gen 2, PCIe 4.0) - ARGB Ready!] have one?

M.2 drives don't really need heatsinks (it takes an awful lot to make them thermal throttle: basically unachievable except in artificial scenarios), but yes, the Strix X570-F has heatsinks on both M.2 slots.
