hello,
recently i bought one of these off ebay to see what it was like. i plugged it in and it seems to work. i checked the performance of it on gfx benchmark and it shows the results as half what the real gtx is. i also used cpuid and that showed that the clock of the card was 324Mhz approx. i have contacted the ebay seller and put this across to them. is there some way that i can increase the clock speed on a graphics card?

These forums are for support for PC Specialist systems, you may want to check out somewhere like Tom's Hardware which is an open forum.

It's a fake card, basically, you've been ripped off.

For reference, these are the numbers for a real 1050 of all variants, all the clocks are miles ahead of what you've been sold:

All they've done is hack the vBIOS of some ancient card to make it appear like a 1050. But it's not a 1050. It even states it PCIe2, whereas all modern cards since 2010 are PCIe3

I'm going to lock this thread as it's against forum rules to discuss warez.

Just in case someone else finds this topic while searching the web.

This kind of scam is very well documented and has been reported on quite a lot by PC hardware media:

There are a lot of fake "chinese" GPUs on the market.

I've reported listings to Amazon and Ebay, though they seemed to ignore the reports.
