Choosing a processor.

Is there going to be any real, significant difference between an Intel i5 Quad Core (3.2Ghz) and an AMD Bulldozer Quad Core (3.6Ghz)? Is it really worth the extra ~£100 to go for the i5?

PS. The PC will be primarily used for gaming.

For games that are more processor bound the i5 will outperform the FX-4170/FX-4100. It depends on your budget, I'd not choose the i5 if it means downgrading your gpu.
