You'd have to turn off Ray Tracing for any game. Anything under the 2080 just can't cope with RT even at 1080p.

DLSS on full though on everything that supports it.

Doom 2016 looks fantastic and runs stupidly fast.

Apparently F1 2020 is really well optimised also, so long as you turn off RT, that may be a good one.

Resident Evil 3 remake runs well.

Ghostrunner, if you managed to pick that up the other week

Any of the Ori games look amazing

Star Wars Squadrons runs well

And actually purely for visuals, as the game itself is more of an interactive story, but I was pretty blown away by:

Life is Strange

Beyond Two Souls

I might treat myself to Resident Evil 3..but may wait till tomorrow to start playing now as PM'ing a good friend at moment

Tough choice, they're all quite demanding and you'd have to reduce settings for 1440p.

You may be better off with a slightly older game or something like Doom which will run at insane speeds.

OK - I've got the boring finances out the way, the browsing etc out the way and like the new monitor a lot...what should be my first 1440p gaming experience then...any suggestions.

any other suggestions

F1 2020 is rather a frame heavy (gives lots of frames, is that right?) and is a pretty pretty game if you still have it

I can say whilst its not 144 FPS (not that I ever thought it would be), I'm pretty pleased with these benchmark runs on F1 2020 with Ultra High settings with full wet weather on as well. Absolutely loving the vibrant colour coming out on this new monitor too - really looking forward to photo processing when I get out with my cameras again..

and the dry weather results:
