CMOS battery startup problem

Hello all,
I've just replaced the CMOS battery in a PC I bought in 2008, and when I switched it back on, the PC hangs at a black screen with message 'EXPRESS GATE'.

I understand Express Gate is something to do with the Asus motherboard, but I can't figure out what I might have done wrong. I've since taken the new battery out and the machine starts and works fine, just have to reset the time and date. Put the battery back in and it's back to the black screen. The motherboard is an Asus M3N78 PRO.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Is it the right battery and is it the right way round?

Hi, yes, it's a CR2032. It seems to be sorted now, I didn't know you could switch off Express Gate in the BIOS Tools, that was the culprit. Ta for the reply!
