Colour match for Optimus IV!

Hi guys n gals,

I've been very happy with my Optimus IV since I bought it last year, however I made the mistake of leaving all the brand stickers on it when it arrived, and subsequently decided to peel them off. The resultant colour disparity is driving me nuts, and I'm wondering if anyone has tried repainting/patching their laptop before?

My question: can anyone recommend a paint that could be used to cover this unsightly mess?

I think I'll end up doing this if it turns out the surface isn't suitable for painting/I can't find a good colour match.
