When I look at peoples spec for a new pc most tend to go for no anti virus package, why is this? do they buy it separately and if so, which is the one most recommended

Because the built-in security suite is as good as (if not better) than most of the aftermarket ones, won’t slow down your machine, won’t interfere /intercept your browsing activities, and won’t use scaremongering to make you feel like they’re doing you a great service.

At best they add some services you may want, but mostly then just hook their claws so deeply into the belly of the OS that they cause more issues than they resolve.

Whats your budget?

Are you really in need of 64gb RAM? What sort of photo usage do you do on it - stitching panoramics? (several photos?), HDR merging of photos etc?

Do you only use PS or are you a LR user too - cataloging your pictures?
