Connecting to internet

The pc I bought last year is a basic HP one it's a pain in the ass, really slow with limited spec....a friend of mine has given me his pc which has better spec I have taken my 1 TB HD out the old pc and want to put it onto his pc along with his 2TB HD I've booted up but it isnt seeing my 1 TB HD how do I piggy back mine to his ?...thanks
