Considering Vortex IX 15.6"

I am considering getting the 15.6" Vortex IX gaming laptop https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/VortexIX-15/. I just have a few questions that I am wondering about:
  • I cannot seem to find any review for this model of laptop? I can find ones for the older model and for other ones like the Recoil but not this one. Does anyone know where I could find any? I am slightly hesitant to purchase anything that I can't find a review for.
From anyone who owns this laptop, how thick is it? 30cm sounds like quite a lot but it does appear like that is only the width at the back and at the front it is less. I am currently used to a Dell Inspiron 7567 gaming laptop so how different would it be from something like that? I would like it to be somewhat portable.

Can you enable and disable g-sync? I hear that g-sync can drain battery a lot so is it easy to enable and disable, and on that note, how is the battery life?

How are thermals/performance? Is there any weird power limit throttling on the CPU that slows it down? Disabling that on my dell took forever. How high are the temperatures (I am considering the i7-9750h and GTX 1660ti model.

What does the 2x battery option mean? Does it mean a spare extra battery, or an extra one included inside the laptop for better battery life?

And any other opinions would be helpful as well, how is the keyboard/trackpad/screen etc?

Most PCS laptops - the Vortex included - are Clevo chassis.

The model number for the Vortex IX is
Clevo PB50RF

If you do a search on that it will return a lot more results.

The best detail I can find it actually a reddit thread:

You can disable GSync in the nvidia control panel.

I don't actually own one, but of the reports we've had on the forum, the Vortex is a much more effective cooling chassis compared to other clevo's.

Simply means having a spare battery that you can swap out if required, probably worth picking up a spare at some point in the laptops life as an emergency measure. I have 2 on this one, one in storage still (from 2014) just in case, but luckily this one is doing extremely well.
