looks good dude :)

what's it for? normally I/many users on here will suggest getting one strong gpu instead of two lesser ones.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

So you guys saying that the 7870 are not that good? Is this compared to the new NVidia series 6?

On the other side... Will 2 x 7870 play all the latest games at full settings? will it cope with games for the next 2 years?

I just looked on the mighty configuraton,

You can get a 680 for the price of two 7870's! thats wht you could do.

although I think a single 670 would be a good choice, cheaper than a 680 but still more than enough for todays games.

Alternatively, you could get a 7950/7970 if you want to stick to AMD/ATI,

Defo get one strong card now, but if you want to sli/crossfire get a nice beefy psu, so if you want to add things in the future you have enough juice leftover, such as extra gpu/fans/ lights/ fan controller/ more drives/ USB devices that draw power.

The GTX 670 has similar performance than the 7970, as Tom mentioned I'd go with a stronger GPU and if needed add a 2nd one in the future.

No, just in general since 2 lesser graphics card in one pc isn't always the best. usual reasons are due to better stability with one card and less heat and power draw though other details apply.

It should I believe as the 7870 isn't the empty brainer. if not then near max settings. I'm pretty sure they should be capable of handling games down the road of that time.

Edit: slow on the post so adding to the comments .

Best case! Cooling is as good as a Haf-X but looks better and has a handle!

One thing you might want to do is rotate the 2 fans at the front so they aren't pulling in air from the side but rather from the front. It's fiddly to do though apparently but it does lead to better airflow.
