I didnt get my keyboard from PCS, but through amazon when i bought my desktop recently.
Ive started having issues with the "D" key double typing quite frequently, been maybe a week at most...but its a mechanical keyboard on a aluminium chassis...cherry MX keys too... so for it to be playing up like that so soon...

Lucklily, They are replacing it for me so i will get a brand new one and send this one back, but i wouldnt of expected it with a keyboard that cost over £100 and is made with the parts it has.

Probably just got a short straw and the replacement will be fine, but thought i'd leave a note in case others were considering buying one themselves.

As with all electronics, you do get duds which is why it's so important to have a good returns policy and warranty in the first place.

This is certainly not a common occurrence with that keyboard.

Thats reassurance at least.
It took a little hammering to get amazon to replace, first person wanted me to go to corsair and claim under warranty, but it came with 2 years cover through amazon when i bought it

That's surprising for Amazon, normally they'd just do it straight away, must have been a dodgy cs employee.

Did you just arrange return through the site, or did you call up?

chat app on the site, had to wait for an email, which never came, so i chased them again, then insisted on a supervisor as they said to go to corsair, supervisor then sorted it out and ive got to return the current one. Should be with me on tues :)

Ive had a lot of issues with amazon recently, they like leaving packages on the doorstep for me and then the 980 pro drive went missing so they are "resistant" to just replacing stuff or refunding me atm.

Corsair keyboards are usually indestructible, it seems as though @sibun1 was unlucky with theirs. The experience with Amazon customer service was probably the kicker.

I don’t think it warrants a warning message to forum users in relation to Corsair equipment in general 👍

Wasnt corsair products in general, more a case of just the keyboard in case its not a one off.
You forget, i have a corsair case, fans, keyboard and headset lol

Never use the chat app, always just do a returns from your orders section, just goes straight through no questions asked, or at least I've never had an issue.

If you are someone who returns a lot of stuff they tend to ask more questions not saying that's in your case, just if you're returning through the order page.

I contacted as i was after a repair or replace, rather than straight return.
So i'm glad they are replacing it for me (i have to return within 30 days or they charge me kinda deal).

I dont return much, but the last 3 months, out of 8 or 9 deliveries, only one has actually been handed to me, others left on doorstep, round by bins, left in shared access area for flats... yet they still marked it up as handed to resident, and i'd lost an item before.
So when the drive went missing, i refused to wait a week to see if it showed and pushed for a refund on that, and theyve been a little off with me since... it was a a £100 refund for the drive so I guess they suddenly started paying attention.

Anyway, i digress!

That's really naughty of your driver, they shouldn't be just leaving it there without your express permission.

Anyway, at least you're getting it replaced. It's a fantastic keyboard, I can vouch for it, had mine (1st Gen) for many years now and it's absolutely bulletproof...... but not dust proof!

I haven’t forgotten anything. You’re a very well respected member of a giant forum dedicated to this kind of thing and your words carry weight. Posting a warning thread based on your own experience of a single key is dangerous territory.

I get what you're saying... i meant it more as a minor heads up, rather than a alarms going kinda thing if that makes sense.
I am reassured by what Spyder said though, its very likely i got the short straw and the replacement will be fine :)

I’m sure that is the case, you just got a rare bad key. I am going to amend the title of this thread slightly, though. I don’t think the ‘possible word of warning’ is warranted at this stage.
