Hi @McCloud98 have you already bougth this PC? Are you looking for spec/build advice?

If you'd like advice it would be helpful to know what you're going to be usding the PC for (I assume gaming?), what your budget is and what monitor you'll be using for the PC.

Do you have any specific reasons why you've gone for an Intel build? Currently AMD are dominating in terms of price/performance and general gaming suitability so an AMD rig is probably what would be suggested.

Hi Steaky360,

i ordered the PC yesterday, just someone to cast their eyes over the specs i've gone for to make sure there isn't any major problems to be honest.

The PC will be mainly used for gaming yes and I currently have a MSI - Optix G241 IPS LCD Gaming Monitor which i understand wont be using the 3080 graphics card to its full potential?

No specific reason that i went with Intel other than the fact I dont have much knowledge on AMD.

Thanks for coming back to me.

I have been previously warned about the monitor limiting the performance of the graphics card but id like to maintain the 3080 in my order as i would like to buy a 1440p monitor by Christmas. Do you have any recommendations on 1440p monitors below £500?

I would definitely wait for later on for a new monitor. With new consoles and teh 3000 series GPUs there will be a lot of people wanting 4k high refresh monitors which should drive the prices down as there will be a much bigger market for them.

Of course, it's possible prices might go up as demand may outstrip supply

Possibly but only after the initial rush. Unless you have to be an early adopter and must have the best thing right away waiting a few months should work.
