Overclocked Intel® Core™i7-2600k Quad Core (3.40GHz @ max 4.20GHz)

is this cooling enough to support the CPU above?
Case
COOLERMASTER CM690 MKII ADVANCED CASE
Processor Cooling
COOLIT ECO A.L.C (ADVANCED LIQUID COOLER) (£59)

or is it worth upgrading to the more expensive liquid cooler, and a larger case to fit it?

There shouldn't be a need for that, however if you want to keep the temps as low as possible than maybe consider upgrading those components

Not too sure what the temps are like with 2600k but if you can afford better cooling you should get it, better to be safe than sorry. Also if you wanted to push the overclock further later down the line you will be able to get more out of it.

The Eco cooler and Coolermaster 690 II case will be good for cooling the i7-2600K, if you wanted to get the lowest temperatures possible then you could get a HAF-X case and Eco C240 cooler but it's not necessary.
