DayZ mod now on steam

this is the mod that requires arma 2, not the standalone game...

just making it simpler for you guys to install


also arma 3 is a steam exclusive

Apparently the Steam Dayz isn't working properly. Apparently unlike the independent client it can't detect whether it's on the right version or not and people are having trouble accessing servers. Might be worth sticking to the standard method of playing for now!

DayZ is free is it not? You need Arma 2 and Arma 2 operation arrowhead which (on their own) are excellent.

Yea the mod is free. I've been looking to get it myself but I don't have Arma 2 combined ops. Should have bought it when it was reduced to a tenner really but I figured I'd wait for standalone whenever that arrives! Hopefully Arma will go back on sale to help push the popularity of the mod being on Steam.

you already have it mate, this version is just the mod version now on steam. Not the new standalone version.
