I am looking to buy the defiance ii 15.6" but receive the possible incompatibility message in the configurator.
I want to know if anyone knows if it is compatible with Debian or Ubuntu Linux?
I have seen other threads on this but with no conclusive answer just "I'll check" or "I want to know that too".

Does anybody from pc specialist or who has purchased this laptop know if it will throw up any problems?
It is a shame to see that this laptop may have issues with Linux and a shame for pc specialist. As Windows 8 and above is just spyware with a fancy name and the Linux community is one I am fond of, also the capabilities of Linux.
This will decide wether I purchase a laptop from pc specialist or not, as for what I do I need Linux, a shame, but a harsh reality for me and pic specialist.
