Defiance RTX VR/Vortex IX Laptop Recommendation

Hi everyone!

At first I’m sorry if I opened the thread in wrong section. I want to buy a laptop which needs to have high(good) specs. I was going with Defiance V RTX and I looked up the forum a bit than I also added Vortex IX but I’m still open the other laptops as well. Other than I’m kind of in a rush so I need this laptop ASAP.

Price must not be more than 44,58£ p/m. I will do the payments monthly.

For size I’m considering the 17.3 and I will take the laptop when I’m going to the school but I don’t know it’s gonna be a problem if size is big. I like bigger screens because I think that I can watch movies with better size and quality. Also I need something quite and not going to make noise.
Also most important thing is what features it has. Like I liked the Defiance because it is more thin, has probably good sound system same as Vortex IX and RTX VR which might be really useful. In other hand Vortex IX has Thunderbolt(I don’t know if this is gonna be useful for me) and G-Sync which is I don’t know if this is going to be useful too.

Also for another laptop I’m looking around £800-900/£20-25.

What are you using the laptop for? List all of your uses, including specific software you might use :)

It will help suggest whether gsync etc is useful.

For high spec games(New gen games), editing(Premiere, Sony Vegas), some AutoCad type of applications as well. So I don’t wanna have problem with apps. Also I need high performance like when I’m using Chrome I’ll open lots of pages. Probably I have to sacrifice from my storage but I think I can handle with buying external hard disk later.

External disks are fine for backup but not usually the best versus internal storage (less convenient, more vulnerable, can be slower)

But you can upgrade the laptop's storage yourself any time.

Gsync would be a very big asset for gaming. It gets rid of screen tearing and can smooth out stutter.

Either spec is fine for your needs, it's down to you whether you favour the 15.6" gsync screen because of gaming, or the 17.3" screen if you want that more for productivity.

Also for another laptop I’m looking around £800-900/£20-25.
You also need a 2nd laptop? For you? What about a desktop PC for the heavy work and a less powerful laptop for portability? Or is this a laptop for someone else..?

Bump.
Before then I said that I was going to pay monthly but not allowed. So probably I’m going to buy directly now. And I think I will go for Vortex IX 15.6” as looks more useful. Can I get help about specs? Should be not more than £1,275 or even £1,200 would be good. Also I’m stick on RTX 2060. @Oussebon

The spec you posted looks good to me - 32gb RAM can be useful for the (non-gaming) uses you listed, and the storage is a fair budget drive.

Sure, that would be the best thing to cut down on if you need to save money because you can always add more storage down the line.

It depends how much storage you need.
