Hi

I am about to order a system from pcspecialist.co.uk BUT I am worried I might get stung by import duties, has anyone but a system from pcspecialist.co.uk to ireland and was everything ok import duties wise.

Or should I order from pcspecialist.nl instead or would my EU bound order go via NL anyway?

thanks

If you order from .co.uk you'll have to pay import taxes as they're not accounted for on the initial order.

You need to order from pcspecialist.ie to factor in taxes

Yes I was doing that.

Now the reason I asked is because last year i bought a window blind (exciting i know) from blindsdirect.ie and I got my parcel held up a week and I had to pay 35 euro duty on it so when i see a .ie domain i dont take it as sign all will be well.

That won't happen with PCS. Its down to the sender to correctly submit the paperwork, that's not something you have to worry about with PCS, they ship loads of things to Ireland regularly

If any fees are demanded by customs when its imported in, talk to PCS and they'll get it sorted out (because yes I have heard of customs being a bit awkward at times)
