I Have had my pc from pc specialist for just over 2 years , its been upgraded with a new power supply, graphics card and a new case. about 6 months after my pc has been shutting down randomly like you have just unplugged it from the mains. i have had it sent of to this bloke and he couldnt find out what was wrong with it, i have cleaned it out, done a memory test and had no errors and a fresh install of windows with a seconds hard drive.

I Suspect it might be something to do with my motherboard or CPU I Have removed them both looking for any marks or damage but nothing they are in perfect condition so i have no idea on what the problem is so if anyone could help that would be amazing!

Thanks

You wouldn't be able to look for problems at your mothetboard or cpu just by looking for aesthetic marks. Have you try a clean installation of windows? You could try phoning technical support

I have a fresh install of window and it's not the PSU as I have a spare one and had that in and it was still doing it

The kettle lead? That's unusual. Glad you got it sorted.

I agree. If I were you I'd get a light and a magnifying lens and take a close look at the connectors inside both the old cable and inside the PC connector. It may be that the plug/socket connection is not as clean as it should be and it's been arcing in there. Apart from anything else that would be a serious fire risk, so it's well worth taking a good look.
