Hey all, I'm just going to list a few things that have been bothering me since getting my laptop in May.
Firstly, the speakers have sounded bad since I received the order, however in the last 10 days they've gone from bad to worse; being distorted and unpleasant (but headphones are fine, so clearly a physical issue with the speaker). So I am looking to get it fixed under warranty. General enquires told me RMA takes 4 weeks to fix things! It took less than 2 weeks to build the laptop, surely this repair timeline isn't right, is it??
I paid extra for some special thermal paste, is there a way to know for certain this has actually been used? (same question for the KILLER wifi tbh). I ask about the paste because I assumed my CPU would be low temp when in general use/idle, but it is normally around 55-65c..which seems high to me. There's also a bit of a weird electrical noise i'm noticing roughly under the D/F key area; I don't know if this is normal..
Battery life, it doesn't seem to last more than an hour really..this to me seems pretty poor for a new laptop (and not even on full performance, just "better" performance). Is there an issue with the battery do you think?
Lastly, has anyone experienced problems with Soundblaster 6 not working? It's never worked for me; you click on it and nothing opens.
