Hi there,
I've got a PC bought around Nov/Dec '21 running an i7-12700k and a Gigabyte 3060 Ti, and am currently tempted to invest in a Quest 2 partly just to use it solo for VR but also ideally to plug in via the Link cable and use for VR in sim racing.
I've seen that the upcoming F1 22 does support the Quest 2 at the very least, so I guess my real question is whether or not I can expect any issues with my current setup, any reason why this idea might not work, or perhaps what my expectations should be?
I'm confident enough that the rest of my system aside from the graphics card won't be a bottleneck but having seen the limitations of the card when I bought it from PC Specialist being not for 4K gaming (currently fine as I'm on a 1440p monitor anyway) but is VR ready, I'm just not knowledgeable enough currently on anything VR outside the basics, never mind knowing how the graphics performance/spec might translate to the pretty high res screens in the headset, especially when I do at least know that frame rate is critical for it!
Any thoughts really appreciated! In the interest of transparency, I'll post my build as I bought it below:
