External CD, DVD & Blu-ray Reader & Writer

I ordered an Octane VI Ultra 2 weeks ago and only now do I realize that the laptop doesn't have a built-in CD player. I need to buy a portable external CD, DVD & Blu-ray Reader & Writer. Not sure which one to buy.

I can upgrade the order and get a 8X EXTERNAL DVD-RW or a 6X EXTERNAL BLU-RAY WRITER.

I am not sure if the blu-ray writer can also read/write cd, dvd & blu-ray
or is it only blu-ray writer.

It will do all of the above.

I imagine it's just sold as a "Blu-ray writer" because that's the most advanced thing it can do.

You could always ask PCS what model they are selling if you want to comparison / price shop I think these things are usually ~£80+.
