Is this a PCSpecialist machine? Can you post your full specs from the order page?

The first thing I would do is try to find processes that could be using lots of CPU or GPU, you can see that on the windows task manager, under the processes tab. Sort by the CPU or GPU field to see the culprit and, in general, you shouldn't have the sum of all processes taking more than 5-8% of your CPU or GPU when on idle with no apps in the foreground.

Hi - I'm curious what you removed Muhnur ?
Our new laptop has the fan almost constantly on, far far more than the other 2 in the office. Have never had to diagnose a pc before in order for it to run normal - is this a common issue with PCS machines ?
I can hear our laptop from the next room, and when i come to see what software is running, it's often a couple of office applications and Edge.
