Fedex Delivery troubles?

So I just got off the phone with FedEx (1-800-535-800). If numbers are not allowed, I'll remove it. First, it was very quick to get in touch with them (less than 5 minutes).

I was told that currently FedEx is experiencing a very large influx of orders (which I already knew obviously) but that since it was in Dartford that it looked like they would try and have it go through France (Charles de Gaulle) to go through customs after which it would be shipped to Dublin. She mentioned that there were talks of moving it to Stansted (in which case it would go through customs in Dublin).

When I asked whether there were any issues regarding customs, she mentioned that although some comments were raised due to the price, nothing seemed off with the paperwork.
Real good news, think my shipment and yours are in the same batch. Let's see.

I'd imagine yes, mine was dispatched on the 6th as well but happened to me and I imagine is your case as well is that the information was only sent to FedEx on the 6th since neither FedEx nor PCS would pick it up on the weekend.

They picked it up on the Monday (the 8th) and then it was shipped through Leeds, Ridgmont and then finally Dartford

We will get our PCs soon hopefully!! Fingers crossed!

Thats exactly the path mine took and the same pickup date too. Did yours leave Ridgmont at 2:00am on the 10th of Feb?

Update, package still in Dartford, I called their support also. Got same answer like above. No paper issue, just the huge volume of goods they have to deal with.
Guess we will have to wait.

Thanks for the update, mine arrived 48 hours later in Dartford so hopefully it'll follow a similar path

Hey, so I am in a similar boat. I am trying to get a PC delivered to the Republic of Ireland with PCS.

PC was dispatched on Monday, February 8th and was supposed to be delivered yesterday but never arrived. Now it is displaying "Scheduled Delivery: Pending" and "No scheduled delivery at this time." Last step shows as "In transit from Dartford GB"

Should I be calling PC Specialist or FedEx to move the delivery process along?

I know that this is primarily an issue on FedEX's end but it sucks to go through a long waiting period and then have the order stall because of FedEx. I'm sure PCS is looking into this but it seems to be a growing trend for orders for Ireland based on the recent forum posts.
You must be joking. Just a few days past. Save yourself time and just wait. Your call won't make a delivery faster. You may start panicking if you don't receive in 4-5 weeks.

Hope this helps: "Four studies demonstrate that people derive more happiness from the anticipation of experiential purchases and that waiting for an experience tends to be more pleasurable and exciting than waiting to receive a material good. https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/0956797614546556"

Fedex is just trying to increase your happiness! Hope they don't charge for it now.

I know it doesn't help!! ;)

Update.
Mine moved to BISHOPS STORTFORD GB Sat then STANSTED Sunday. (A bit shock they worked over the weekend...)
Then on Monday moved to Roissy Charles De Gaulle Dex FR... what a trip.
Looks like it will need clear custom then travel back to Stansted -> Dublin.
The whole process is really wasting money and only for the sake of process.

My PC reached Dublin customs on 12th Morning at 8:22am. Today (16th) marks the start of day 5 with Dublin customs.‘Miles to go before I sleep’ and all that…

Lesson learnt:
>> Do not trust delivery date updates by FedEx. Even revised delivery dates. Most of the time, They are just automatic updates by a dumb system. Customer care is equally clueless having access only to the same level of detail.

Mine will hopefully be enroute soon. At least I’m prepared for a long wait and pointless tracking.

Thanks for the updates. 👍

Mine arrived in Dublin at 6 with the most recent update being ‘At Destination sort facility, Dublin IE’ - does it still have Customs to go through? Was stuck in Kingsbury for like 4 WD so surely they did some stuff there. FedEx guy on phone said it should be delivered by EOD.

Was there an ‘At destination sort facility, Dublin IE’ for you before going to Customs? If so I doubt I’ll get it today or soon

Posting so you know the statuses before it gets to me..

The lady from customer care informs me that , the online status is wrong. It is still with customs. She is checking with escalation department now why customs is still keeping it.

Now escalation department tells me that it is released by customs and missed the van Delivery today. Promised me it is going to be tomorrow.

Mine is an RMA coming back - hope you guys fare better. My case might be an outlier.

My timeline is pretty similar to yours but it’s been on available for clearance since 9, are you in Dublin?

I’m in Cork, hopefully didn’t miss the van.

Yay!!! After a week, mine arrived this morning :) I'm in Dublin and it updated this morning to "Arrived in Dublin" and then shortly after to "Scheduled for Delivery".

It went through Charles de Gaulle in France on Sunday before shipping to Stansted and then to Dublin. Some were curious why it would go to France first instead of Dublin. It's for customs, FedEx must feel that currently, the wait is shorter to go through France rather than ship to Dublin and have it go through customs in Dublin. Must be a very large build-up at customs in Dublin at the moment.

Regardless... I'll be posting a build picture in a few hours. Hope yours arrive soon
