Having just taken ownership of a 1440p ultrawide thanks to you and @Nursemorph, I’ll definitely vouch for that statement. It’s absolutely brilliant. Only been using it for about ten hours but there’s no way I’d want to go back to a smaller screen after experiencing this 🙂👍
It is the ultimate for gaming, ultrawide or superwide, just soo immersive!

I have a limited size desk (73cm wide and 50cm deep) would this restrict my options to only a 4k monitor or would a ultra wide still be viable for this.
May I ask the reasons for the change in case, I see it has more fan capability is that the main reason. Also the change from intel to amd on Processor may i ask for that reasoning also. Thanks for all the help so far!

Desk: Ultrawides are usually 34-36" wide so there would be an overhang over the side of your desk....3-4cm each side for a 34" monitor. However, some Ultrawides are curved so that would reduce some of the overhang. Up to you whether you could live with an overhang.

Case: It is a better case with much better air flow. Obviously, if all the lighting or the case style doesn't appeal you could go for another one.

Processor: AMD are the better option currently in terms of price/performance, longevity and security. Whilst the AMD chip selected does have a slightly lower base clock speed than the Intel, AMD chips have an automatic overclock facility built-in so it will maximise the clock speed for whatever core happens to be being used. So, you should get a clock nearer 4.4GHz when using Auto-CAD etc which will be beneficial

Thanks for clearing that up, ill definitely being sticking with the processor and case now. I'll need to take a look at how much space I have around the desk to see if that's possible. I've just noticed the change in graphics card also, would you be able to explain that as I would greatly appreciate it

GPU: If you want to run an Ultrawide screen, you really need the 2080 Super as a minimum...the 2070 Super will struggle with it and make it pointless buying the Ultrawide. Basically, normal 1440p monitor=2070 Super; 1440p Ultrawide=2080 Super and above

The last thing is the power supply, when I go to proceed it says I only need 550w, does it have any implications if I were to use the 750w you have reccomend?

Not at all, would highly recommend the RMx 750 as it's fully modular (less wires, less overheating) and is semi-passive so fan only kicks in when it's under load. Also gives you plenty of room for any upgrading in future.
