Final check

Ok, so I think I am ready to press the button and get this spec ordered.

I did post a spec a short while ago and Ubuysa offered some excellent advice, all of which I have taken except I have gone for a better spec GPU than advised.

My main use for this laptop is the editing of photos using Adobe Lightroom. File sizes are in the region of 100MB each nowadays. I may invest in a monitor at a later time. I won't be gaming.

I have set the partition on the SSD to 150/850. Will the 150GB be ok for OS and programs do you think, or have I gone too big?

Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

PS Something has gone "wonderfully" wrong with the price on this quote. It will be nearer to £1,204.00 I suspect.

The spec looks fine.

Why the partition? Can't you just separate using folders, or is it for faster imaging of the drive?

Hi Oussebon

I am not too tech savvy, I was under the impression the OS and program files were kept separate.

Would it be ok just to do away with the partition and let it roll?

Thanks

Yes.

Just organise your files in folders as appropriate, and archived projects / your music collection / things you don't want or need on the SSD you can keep on the HDD
