Finance and delayed RTX 3080 order

Hi, I ordered 30 working days ago, on finance terms, but haven't received my PC yet, - waiting on the RTX 3080 as per many others.
I haven't had any correspondence from the finance company with details of how to pay.
I am just trying to set aside money so I can pay it off in 12 months (voluntary) before the intrest terms start.
Does anyone know if the delay in fulfilling the order (due to card shortage) affects the due date for mandatory repayments to start?

I.e will the finance terms start 12 months from after it's dispatched, or is the clock ticking from the date I agreed the order?
The date on my contract says it's worked out for date of order, so I assume the clock is ticking, I am just suprised the finance company
haven't written to me or given me an account to pay into.
Tried to ask PC specialist but no reply...
Thanks!
Pop.

I can't speak for everyone, but I had nothing from the finance company after I ordered until my PC was delivered. It is then that my agreement started and I then received a "Your agreement is now live" email with all the details you'd expect.

They also sent an email with all the payment details, a link to your account so you can keep track of everything from there.

That's how I understand it too. I've paid off about half off the PC up front and will be looking to pay off the rest in the next 12 months, and I'm 35 working days in. I guess the emails will start after delivery.

Thanks for your replies Badger and Denz...I think that means the 12 month period starts from delivery when the finance contract is received yeah? Delay might not be a bad thing then as I can put aside some extra money. :)

When the PC is dispatched it kicks off the round of emails from the finance company.

Generally, finance agreements come into force when you receive the funds, not when you apply for the finance otherwise you'd be paying interest on something you have yet to receive. Whilst it is different in this scenario, I still wouldn't expect the agreement to come into effect till you've received the goods (or at least until they have been dispatched).
super. thank you!
