First custom laptop. Feedback appreciated

Hi, so this will be my first custom gaming laptop and so wanted to seek advise if it seemed future proofed and fit for purpose.

Mainly I play wow and csgo so the immediate need is low but with t future games I expect I may be able to branch out.

I have set the below os to install on the recommended location and set the adapter to the highest but this is mainly where my confusions comes from.

And advise appreciated.

Whats your actual budget? Are you aware that there are now some 1440p laptops.

2 x 8GB RAM will probably be sufficient for the games, what else will you be using laptop for?

The adapter is just a spare adaptor - its not that it uses 2 in this circumstance.

You can download your own Windows 10 USB stick so dont need to pay extra for their USB stick. Obviously still pay for the licence unless you have one to transfer over?

Finally, if you can wait, it might be worthwhile seeing what AMD Ryzen / 3000 series laptops are going to come out - or give PCS a call / message to ask how long off they might be.

Thank you for the reply. I hadn't actually realised about the 1440p on first review and it does seem the ionico is 1440p (on first glance).

My budget is variable depending on the spec if it will last me longer (with in reason of course 😊). Spec'ing this to roughly the same specification (with the above changes*, the cost is around the same as the above so may be a worthy upgrade).
*thanks for the confirmation re adapter I was somewhat unsure on that one.

The sole purpose will be for gaming realistically so as you say I was probably being over the top with 32gb RAM.

I think the USB for Windows was like £5 so in the grand scheme of things was quite minor for the cost.

My current laptop is just about hanging in (store bought hp envy around 6 years ago so is on its last legs) but I'm not sure how much longer it will last (the fan sounds overworked).

Nothing over the top with the RAM - I went for 64gb LOL - but admittedly the system just doesnt use it.

The other question to ask though is - does it have to be a laptop or can you have a desktop?

Well 64GB RAM is better to have and not need than need and not have

Unfortunately due to space requirements a laptop is the only option.

I am just going to throw this out there. The Ionico appears to be the updated version of the infamous Vyper with battery issues among other problems.
I personally would stay well clear and go with a Clevo chassis.

So presumably you would go with the defiance build below or would the original Elimina spec be generally better (unsure on the problems with either so input is wholeheartedly appreciated)? (£16 difference between the two specs with the original having 32GB RAM compared to the below having a 16GM RAM).
