First custom pc, advice is welcome!

Hi!

I don't know a lot about custom pc's, and it's a big investment so if someone has time to double check my configuration that would make me very happy :)
Are some components overkill/insufficient or not so compatible with each other?
And one specific question, I've chosen a AMD CPU and an NVIDEA GPU. Is this fine, or is it better to choose an AMD GPU as well?
I've used "cpubenchmark.net" as my primary source for selecting my cpu and gpu.

Price range around 1500 - 2500€.
Pc will mostly be used for heavy programming (CPU, Memory, GPU intensive applications) where the CPU performance is a bit more important than GPU performance. Besides that I'm an infrequent gamer.
I'm going for a sober look (not a big fan of all the flashy RGB) and if possible as quite as possible tho cost/performance has priority.
I don't have a monitor yet, any advice on this is welcome!

Thanks for your help!

Hi there, good first effort, but we can improve this a bit.

Please could you let us know your budget, what you are going to be using the PC for, and what monitor you are going to be pairing this with?

Please could you post the full build specs including the configuration link? Info how is linked below:

Unfortunately I don't speak Dutch, so couldn't get all the way through the Dutch configurator. But these are the changes I would recommend. Let me know where this gets you on budget and we can keep working from here.
With a 3060ti I would recommend a 1440p monitor for gaming. Good entry level options include the Samsung G5, or the LG 27GL850-B, but not sure what prices will be like in your area.

Behuizing
COOLERMASTER MASTERBOX TD500 MESH ARGB BEHUIZING VOOR GAMING NZXT Case looks nice but has poor airflow. If you do not like RGB the Corsair 4000D Airflow is a good option too.
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X-processor met 12 kernen (3,7 GHz-4,8 GHz/70 MB CACHE/AM4)
Moederbord
ASUS® ROG STRIX X570-F GAMING (USB 3.2 Gen 2, PCIe 4.0) - geschikt voor ARGB! This motherboard is much better equipped to handle the voltages and temperatures of the 5900x.
Geheugen (RAM)
32 GB Corsair VENGEANCE RGB DDR4 PRO 3600 MHz (2 x 16 GB) Ryzen CPUs benefit from fast RAM. 3200mhz is the minimum, for productivity tasks the faster the better.
Grafische kaart
8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3060 Ti - HDMI, DP, LHR
1e M.2 SSD-station
1 TB INTEL® 670p M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (maximaal 3500 MB/sR | 2500 MB/sW) (Speciale aanbieding) Fairly light on storage, do you have any drives already to add in? Would recommend at least a 1TB HDD for general storage, but depends on how we're doing on budget.
Voeding
CORSAIR 750 W RMx SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOUD, ULTRASTIL The CV PSUs are very basic and only really belong in a basic Office PC. The RMx is fully modular, uses better quality components and is semi-passive, so will be near silent under low loads.
Stroomkabel
1 x stroomkabel van 1 meter voor Europa
Processorkoeling
Corsair H115i ELITE CAPELLIX RGB Hydro-serie krachtige CPU-koeling The cooler you had picked was not strong enough to handle the 5900x. The H100i would be sufficient but unfortunately is out of stock at the moment.
Warmtegeleidende pasta
STANDAARD WARMTEGELEIDENDE PASTA VOOR VOLDOENDE KOELING The Corsair cooler comes with high quality paste pre-applied so the Arctic paste is not needed.

I love your reply! Thanks for listing up all my mistakes :D

My updated build:

- Casing: I'm indeed not a big fan of the RGB so I'm going to follow your second suggestion
- Motherboard: seems like the extra money is worth it
- RAM: performance <3
- Memory: I picked only 1TB for pressing costs. Currently I have a laptop with 1TB HDD and 500GB SSD. Although a bit old I'm looking to keep using it. So I'll use my HDD there as "long term storage" for vacation pictures and backups etc. I used the SSD for main use and never really ran out, mainly because I'm not playing huge games etc. So I'm hoping that 1TB should be enough when I use my HDD on my laptop as long term storage. Maybe one additional question: If in the future I want to upgrade my storage, is this possible or rather impractical?
- Power Suply: I'm convinced of using the CROSAIR series. I'm not looking to overclock my pc etc. Is 750W necessary or is 650W sufficiant?
- Cooling: It states that the frostflow can handle 250TDP, the new one can handle 270TDP. Is it wrong to use this metric for the cooling capacity? In the Corsair series, is the ELITE necessary or should the PRO be enough?

I'll go for a 1440p monitor! I'm assuming that the GPU can handle a pretty high refresh rate?

Again thanks again for your reply, you've already helped me a lot!

I can't seem to edit it, so here my edit:
EDIT:
Forgot to mention the thermal paste, standard is great!
New price (without extra storage): 2.489,00€
This is on the high end of the budget, so if possible a tiny bit lower should be nice but this should be borderline fine.
- Power supply: I've noticed that the 650W is only SEMI-MODULAR, I'm assuming that's why you recommended the 750W?
- Cooling: Is the ELITE recommended or is the PRO good enough in the H115i series?

Yes, the 4000D will support a couple of HDDs and SSDs. HDDs are always useful for general storage of things like photos that don't benefit from being on a faster drive. You also have room for another m.2 SSD on your motherboard. These are a newer form that connect directly to the motherboard, which can offer much faster speeds than traditional SATA SSDs.
Is 750W necessary or is 650W sufficiant?
750W gives plenty of room. Your PSU runs best when not hitting its max wattage, keeping it at its limits for extended amounts of time can cause wear and tear and make it run hotter and louder. For the price difference I would definitely recommend the RMx over the TXm series.
Cooling: It states that the frostflow can handle 250TDP, the new one can handle 270TDP. Is it wrong to use this metric for the cooling capacity? In the Corsair series, is the ELITE necessary or should the PRO be enough?
I would take the TDP values with a pinch of salt, and I would never personally recommend less than a H100i cooler for a 5800x or 5900x. The Elite is a newer series than the Pro coolers. It features a newer plate design so I would recommend sticking with the Elite. If you did downgrade to the Pro it would do the job, but looking after your cooling is a big priority for me, and I wouldn't downgrade here to try and save a few euros. I've got a H115i Elite in the 5900x build I've just ordered.

The 3060ti is great at 1440p. The 3070/ti is the absolute topend, but that will completely blow your budget. You should still be hitting 100+ fps in most titles.
