First time Amd for me, any suggestion to this spec please

Hi all, Always been intel nvidia , but want to try the Amd route now . I have a free sync 1080p 165hz monitor so was building a system to suit that , but would like it to be able to cope with 1440 p if i want that in the future . Would the spec i have chosen be suitable for my needs. I have a budget of around 1700 if needed . Thanks

Do you need the system quickly? Reason I ask is AMD are going to be releasing their Zen 2 processors which are set to be a significant boost in performance for not much cash, plus they’ll likely be releasing their Navi graphics at the same time.

AMD are set to turn the tables on intel with this release of CPU’s. Intel have definitely had their day, there’s no way they can compete for the next few years at least.

Navi should also bring some good performance improvements also.
