Hi there a few questions first. Do you have monitors in mind? If not, your high fps/ hz monitor, do you know what resolution you want it to be? 1080p 1440p? and what's 'high hz'? 144hz? 240hz? Also is the 4K monitor a 60 hz monitor? What are your plans for each of them? Does the budget include these monitors? And could you provide us with a link that comes at the bottom of the 'post specs to forum' page, it'll be very useful for us!

I'd also have a read of the article below. Intel is a bad choice right now and AMD is preferable for the vast majority of use cases, including gaming and streaming.

Firstly, I'd have a look through the posts linked here
Secondly, what can you tell us about your uses, other than gaming and streaming?
Any specific titles? Any software that you would tend to use?

Happy to help you stick a spec together, you seem to be going down a slightly bumpy road with the spec above and the monitor ideas.

As a rough idea, a 3070 will run a standard 4K screen (60Hz) but will struggle with more than that...kinda an entry card for 4K, but 4K gaming isnt in a good place just yet, you are looking at a couple of years before its worth 4K gaming on desktops...1440p would be a much better choice (and I would suggest an ultrawide 144Hz to pair with a RTX 3070...a good one is going to cost a fair amount though, £500-£600 wouldnt be that far off as an estimate).

I have updated the thread so you can edit what you like and no not really I only really want a pc to mainly play games on that will probably be the only thing I use it for I was going to get monitors , keyboard and mouse from other places.

No I was looking at a 4k 144hz but if you have any monitors you suggest with higher fps and are still good quality let me know and is it possible that you could create a AMD gaming build for me and send the link as a reply? Or will I not be able to copy your quote and purchase it? And no the budget it didn't include the monitor.

So the 2K budget can go solely on the system itself, and youve then got another budget to get monitor and stuff.

Kinda rough starting point, and aimed at the gaming and streaming aspect.
If streaming isnt going to be heavy/frequent then theres a lot that can be done to bring price down and improve build in other areas, as a 5600X/B550 board would be perfect is streaming is just hobby level type stuff/occational.

gaming at 4K is pretty much limited to 60fps, its an expensive route with not a lot of payoff.
I would strongly suggest looking at 1440p and maybe think about 4K when you upgrade the GPU in 2 or 3 years time.

Is there any reason you chose that case because I prefer the look of the case that's £123 with the glass front and sides and I won't be needed an Operating system because I can use an existing license

Yeah I was going to use the 4k games for single player like red dead redemption and them sort of games

It was a case of a decent case and pricepoint...theres a snag with the 4000D and 5000D cases, in that they only come with a front and rear fan so often people are left removing the front fan and putting 3 in.

The 5000X you mention is the glass fronted version of the 5000D, so airflow isnt as good, but its still good. The major bonus is it comes with a full set of front fans. The 4000D/5000D and 5000X also use a new fan type called "Airguide" which cant be bought seperately just yet... so with the 5000X you get a full set of these airguide fans (and the RGB versions too).
If you lke that case, I think its a perfectly good option.

I would still say look at a quality 1440p monitor, ultrawide is a good choice on a RTX 3070, but doesnt have to be ultrawide (just doesnt use full potential of the card if you go with a smaller screen size, so its a bit of an overshoot).

Are ultra wide monitors good for gaming? I just feel like it might be abit weird looking at a curved screen to play games on bur I have never seen an ultra wide before aha.

ultrawide is like two monitors side by side, so the curve can potentially be quite natural on the eye... but not every monitor curves the same from what ive seen. There is of course the limitations of having the physical space to put it as well....

Personally not a fan of curved monitors when regular sizes, and I think if I got an ultrawide I would want to physically sit in front of it and check it out before I bought a curved one, but im sure there must be flat ultrawide monitors? Havent looked into it a huge amount as ive not looked to buy one.

Yeah I will have a look for some now what spec would you recommend I go for in a monitor?

If you are going for a RTX 3070, I would be looking at 1440p 144Hz or similar, personally I always want an IPS screen, but that costs more and tends to have slightly slower response times (you can get 1ms, but again...price goes up...)
I dont see any point whatsoever in 240Hz screens unless you are a professional/competition gamer (so you make your living from it), very few people can even see the difference once you go over 120fps anyway... it takes exceptionally good eyesight (and reactions) to have any benefit from it.

I would be looking to spend about £300 to £400 for a good quality 27" 1440p monitor, ultrawide is obviously going to cost more than that.

MrWilson

Godlike
It all depends on how far your monitor budget can stretch. There are a few solid entry level monitors at around £300 such as the G5.
If you're not keen on curved monitors IPS is the way to go, and is generally the better option in many cases, albeit costing more.
At around the £450 mark I'm always keen to recommend the ASUS VG27AQ, which is a fantastic 27 inch display.
For Ultrawide displays, you get the same height as a 27 inch display but is a little wider, being a 21:9 aspect ratio versus the standard 16:9 aspect ratio. This gives you some extra immersion and boosts your FOV in FPS titles. For a quality flat IPS display, I'm keen to recommend the Acer while it remains on offer for £550.

Solid build but massive overkill on the CPU cooler on the 5600X. You could save a few £ there but it's a fantastic cooler if your determined to go for that option

You could take the savings and go for the Samsung 980 M2 as opposed the 970 which is an older model

Looks like a solid build to me! If you wanted RGB overkill, you could add a 3 pack of Corsair LL fans and call or use the live chat feature to ask for them to be put on the AIO instead of the black ones it comes with then put the 3rd on the rear for even intake and exhaust!
