Hi Guys,

My girlfriend and I are looking to purchase a PC, but are complete beginners. She would like to run games like Sims and Flight Simulator whilst I wouldn't mind having Football Manager etc.

It was also be nice just to have a desktop for day to day use but we honestly have no clue what to buy and don't understand any technical terms!!

We have a budget of about £300 - £500 but know this might be enough from some brief research.

Does anyone have any suggestion for us or at least some advice that can make our search slightly easier?

Thanks everyone :)

Start saving, you really will not get anything for that cash.

the £500 would get a very basic system that would still struggle with anything in last 3 years or so.

have you a monitor already, as you need to factor one of those in.

its worth having a play with configurator to get an idea of pc spec, also look on Steam UK for game pc requirements (min and recommended) that you would want to play.

that will be better research.

Thanks for the response bud!

We had a feeling it may not be enough, looks like we will have to dive deeper into our pocket.

We had a monitor already, and will have a look on Steam UK to get an idea of requirements!

Again, thank you for the advice! :)
