Fixing Hinge on Cosmos Laptop

Hello everyone, I purchased Cosmos Laptop couple of years ago. The hinge on the left side of the laptop base came loose. I sent it to PCSpecialist for repair but I have been notified they do not have the parts available, so returning to me un-repaired. I am a light user of the laptop, so the laptop can got couple of more years.

Anyone please help me with insights (pictures/manual) on to how to reach the broken hinge so I try to glue it with Araldite. Particularly this laptop's hinge is on the upper side of the base, which may require removing keypad or any other parts. Thanks!

Some options:

Ask PCS if they have a manual available.

Check your downloads section in case a manual is in there.

Look at base of laptop for sticker to get model number / chassis maker/model and if Clevo go to their website and search for a manual.

Hi @andjef796, thanks for your response. My downloads section does only got welcome pack available. I have written to PC Specialist, i will wait for their response before attempting to ring them (I'm afraid the wait times are almost an hour, due to current situation).

I have found a manual in this forum, but does not have any details to repair a hinge. Hope PC Specialist got some manual available. Thanks again

Thanks for your reply, my laptop warranty long expired, so not worried about it. I sent it for repair and pc specialist is unable to repair it. So I have left with limited choice. would you be able to do me a favour by checking your pc specialist account for maintenance manual and share it. Cheers

taking the back off is easy, just undo all the screws & gently pries it off, how you get to the hinges once inside i've no idea, I just had mine off to change the SSD

Yes, I did open the back panel couple of times to upgrade wireless card and for cleaning. But couldn't find a way to reach hinge easily. Cheers

You'd need to contact PCS for a service manual. They don't supply them to users accounts.
I managed to get the service manual and unfortunately there is no instruction to fix/replace hinge. Further more the case worker seems to be further damaged my laptop. I sent the laptop out to fix a broken hinge but the report now say the panel came off and broken completely. I may need a new laptop altogether.
