In USA, there's a label called Chesky Records who do really high quality recordings, they have a big name in the industry and have won countless Grammy awards for their productions.
The owner, David Chesky has just started up a side project called "The Audiophile Society". The aim is to produce recordings that are such high quality that you get to experience some of the higher range details like soundstage and other things on lower quality gear simply because the recording is so good.
To get the label name out there, he's released a sample pack for free.
Thing to note here is that there are 2 files of each track, one for Hifi system, the other purely for headphones, and they're mastered individually for those applications to make the most out of them.
Samples like these can be really useful when setting up equipment to have a "benchmark" recording that you know will produce the most out of the system to aid with setup.
