Front Fan not appearing in iCue - Coolermaster h500m

Not a huge issue at all, just something I've noticed that I'd like to try and fix.

My Coolermaster h500m comes with ARGB fans at the front. In addition, I have corsair ARGB fans at the top of the case. When I open iCue, I can see the corsair fans but I can't see the coolermaster fans on the front. Is this normal? I did some googling and I may need to plug something in, but my lack of knowledge is holding my back from just trying stuff out. I've taken some pictures of the inside of the case and was wondering if anyone could help me out?

I've noticed one PCI cable is left hanging there, but beyond that, can't find much!

Any insight would be great, thanks :)

The coolermaster fans aren't compatible with iCue, you'd have to install the motherboard RGB software and use that for them.

You'd need Armory Crate under utilities from the driver downloads:

The front fans and how they are controlled may also depend on how the builder has wired up the system...on the 500M, the reset button on the top of the case also doubles as an Optional Addressable RGB Controller if the controller is wired up to the button

"The included addressable RGB controller manages the lighting of the system and can be connected to the reset switch."
Just hit the button and it has indeed changed the colour! Does this mean the front fans aren't wired into the Mobo? (Sorry, pretty new to the world of custom builds)

Yes, that would suggest that they're plugged into a case controller and not the motherboard.

Yikes, I tried to track the cable but it disappears into the bit I can't get at without a screwdriver and more courage.

Is this a straight forward job to plug it into the motherboard instead?

Yeah, relatively. The hardest part is freeing the fan cables.

I am not an expert or overly knowmledgeable when it comes to RGB fans etc but should it not simply be a matter of disconnecting the controller cable from the reset button and plugging it into the motherboard instead? The fans etc would already be plugged into the Controller hub thing that comes with the H500M so it would be a matter of directing where the hub plugs into, no?
The controller replaces the motherboard RGB control, doesn't have connectivity to the motherboard at all, it's a standalone thing in case you have an older mobo or office type basic mobo that doesn't have ARGB headers.

If you want to run them off the motherboard, then I think you just plug the fan headers onto the CH_FAN fan headers on the motherboard and the ARGB headers into the ARGB header.

It's possible that the controller is able to just have one output that goes onto the ARGB header or a 8pin USB header or something, would have to expose it to find out, as you say the website isn't very clear.

I don't understand RGB stuff at all...just confuses me.

This seems to be the controller that CM use in that case, I think:

Seems there is a different out for the reset button and for the motherboard aRGB header
Good spot.... it does appear to be directly pluggable into the motherboard via USB header for firmware updates, and the ARGB header for RGB control via the motherboard:
