Currently running 3 60hz samsung 1080 displays but was wondering if my new rig would run the G9 effectively if I decide to bin the triples?

Mostly play flight sims and racing, so DCS, microsoft flight simulator, ATS, ETS, assetto corsa and iracing.

I think it would do fine with those particular games. The 6700XT is a little underpowered for 4k, but those games tend to be more CPU limiting than GPU so you would run fine. The pixel count would go up around 20% but I wouldn't expect a 20% drop in frames. I would also think that the 6700XT would handle more than 60FPS in your current rig so I think it would run just fine.

Keep in mind that you will want to earmark a GPU upgrade in the future though, to make the most of it.

Thinking I might pull the trigger on this soon, direct from samsung they appear to be offeing this at £1199 and a free 1tb samsung ssd worth £145 upto the 30th🤔

Seems like a pretty good deal.
Amazon Prime Day is on Monday and Tuesday next week and they might have an alternative offer there. You’ve got until the 30th to find the best deal for you, it’s your money after all 🙂

Looked at the prime deals, but this seemed better for me👍😁

Apart from my desk is a WIP, so excuse the mess, and I hope Agentcooper doesn't have a fit with all the cables everywhere😁

It even looks beautiful on my GTX 1660 6g OC, runs at 240hz flicker free 🤪

Out of curiosity, is the monitor capable of running 3440x1440 @240hz? From what I read it can support a bunch of different resolutions but that one has to be input custom and therefore runs it at 120hz without HDR. But it's from threads from a while ago; has it changed?

Yes, it had a firmware update in January which corrected the 240Hz issue, runs at full 240Hz with HDR now.

But it's 5120 x 1440.
