If you intend on playing at 4k, perhaps the Radeon 5700 isn't the GPU for you. Your monitor is 60Hz, and after some research online I found that the 5700 can only push up to 48-55 FPS in AAA games released from 2017-2019.

Everything else in your build looks alright honestly. Good case, good everything apart from chrome.

Perhaps try and go with the RTX 2070 Super? I am fairly certain that the RTX card can push 4k at 60Hz.

You really need a 2080 Super as a minimum for 4k. 2080 would be fine, but it's not that much price difference to bump up to a 2080 Super.

2070 Super is a great card, but a lot of modern games will struggle at around 30fps CURRENTLY, so going forward that's only going to reduce. Even on a gsync screen, that's going to make it unplayable.

Yeah, actually. Did some research and the CUDA core difference between the RTX 2080S and 2070S is massive.

Go with the 2080S if budget allows.

I think @thorntheelite was making a joke that you have selected Edge as the default browser rather than Chrome. Go with whatever browser you want

@StewartC Do you already have this monitor? Is it something you bought very recently (i.e. that you could still return)?

Although it depends on the game, the RX 5700 is not really a 4k gaming card. Less than an RTX 2080 Super wouldn't be ideal for modern gaming at higher settings. A 2080 ti would be the ideal - and you can probably make savings elsewhere in the build to afford one within the £2000 budget,

However, a better idea might be to aim for 1440p gaming on a 1440p monitor instead, at least if you don't yet have that monitor or could exchange it.

You either need to significantly increase your budget to be able to play at 4K, or get a 1440p high refresh monitor to suit the build you’re currently proposing.

If you've had it that long you can't return it anyway.

I'm not saying it's a bad monitor, just that your PC won't be good for 4k gaming on it.

If you didn't currently own either the PC or the monitor, you would probably be advised to get a 1440p monitor as that is more appropriate for your spec.

Ofc you can play games at 1440p on a 4k monitor, but playing below native resolution is never ideal.

You could adapt your build to include an RTX 2080 Super, e.g.

If you make some further savings (case, mobo, SSD model) you can fit an RTX 2080 ti in there, which would be the ideal for a 4k gaming PC
