Gaming Center malfunctionning

Dear PCSpecialist,

Recently I bought a new laptop from you. The Viper 17, i7-10875H, RTX 2070, 32Gb,...
The problem began when I left a game from full-screen mode, the gaming center would exit out of my taskbar on the right bottom. When I want to start it again by manually finding it in the apps, it boots, but with limited functionality.
I can enter the first 2 taps, but I am unable to adjust the operating mode the laptop runs at(eco, game, performance) also the tab of monitoring vanishes.
(I want to add an image but it is too large https://we.tl/t-c6rVlxjdnb)

I hope there is a fix for this, this is seriously bad quality of life problem. For it to go away I have to clean restart.

Kind regards

Bert Maes

Hello and welcome to the fora! :) Just so's you know, these fora are not an official support channel and PCS staff don't visit here often. We're mostly happy PCS customers who like to help out where we can.

Can you post the full spec for your build from the order page please? That's so that everyone can see exactly what build we're looking at. :)

Did you buy it with Windows installed or did you install your own OS?

I think I might have found the problem myself. I see it a quality of life bug but maybe there is a solution for...
The cause of the malfunctioning of the gamecenter is the fact that in the bios I set the graphics to only Discrete gpu. I use this laptop a lot of the times on my desk(stationary) and I have a screen connected to it, so to get a little bit better performance I set it at that when I am home.

So maybe the game center wont work for it probably switches or determines what is used for what(iGPu VS dGPU). The negative effect is that there is no control anymore over the operating mode and fan speed boost button :p. Also the monitoring function doenst work anymore.

Regards

Bert
