Gaming headset, controller and mouse

My ten year old would like a gaming headset, controller and mouse, could anyone recommend anything that's reasonably priced and decent?
Was thinking just an Xbox wireless controller and 3.5mm headset that can plug into it, but have no idea if that's a good idea. 🤷‍♀he likes to chat to friends over discord or Skype while playing.

This is what I bought for my 11 year old:
Mouse: Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini
Headset: Razer Kraken X Lite

Both seem to work fine. He's had them since late September. Although he doesn't use the mic function on the headset much.

Xbox controllers are great value and reliable.
In terms of a headset, Turtle Beach make affordable high quality ones that plug straight into the Xbox controller with through a 3.5mm plug.
Turtle Beach Recon 70X could be down your alley.
Logitech G203 mouse is the best mouse I've used and it only costs 20 pounds, ergonomic and comfortable with non-cheap feeling materials.
