Gaming laptop suggestion

Hello

I am thinking of buying a new gaming laptop which will also be used for some video and photo editing and spread sheets. I have a budget of about £2000 but am torn between the many choices.

I think I would prefer a 17" screen. I don't like the double power supplies of the Recoil IV 17" model. Some of the DTR models look good.

I have a windows 10 licence so don't need a system, and am likely to dual boot to linux, which is something I am confident setting up.

Any suggested builds?

Hi @waldorf, why a laptop over a desktop (do you have other uses, is portability the issue hence not liking the twin power supplies)?

Do you like any of the chassis more than others?

Two reasons.

Portability - I like to be able to move it around the house easily, or take it with me when I go away. I don't need a hyper light or thin laptop. Just something that doesn't need an external display and a desk to put it on.

Space - it's nice to be able to close a laptop and put it away.
