Gaming PC - I have no idea what I'm doing

I got my original PC from here in 2012 and it has really lasted well and been great. However, it has reached the end of its life and I do not have the energy or time to look into fixing it up and upgrading it. I'm ready for a completely new one!

I had some help building that one as well, but I feel like I also had a bit of a better idea of what I was doing myself and now that has knowledge gone out of the window!

I want a gaming PC, for a wide array of games, so I want it to not struggle with any new game I throw at it.

There are a few other things I like to do on my pc, but they're mostly simple things like writing and streaming so nothing that a good gaming PC won't handle.

I already have a monitor, but would like a new keyboard and mouse.

I'd rather not have to have any external harddrive, and have plenty of storage built in.

I'd also like a decently quiet cooling system.

I'm open to all suggestions and looking at a price between £800 and £1000 but can be slightly flexible if needed to get something truly excellent.

Please help me!

Thank you

Good to hear your original pcs machine stood you so well!

You'll be better off posting this again in here:

Let people know what your current monitor is as well

And also give this a read:

There are even suggested machines at the bottom for different budgets and needs!

With the budget you are limiting yourself to 1080p, are you happy at this level of gaming?

With regards to the 2012 model, was it a similar budget? Only asking as inflation has taken its toll, along with the jump to 20% VAT. I think you may be getting a comparative downgrade in system at this budget from the one you purchased in 2012 so you may not get the jump in performance that you are looking for.

I was more referring to the budget. A £1200 PC today is equivalent to around a £700/£800 PC in 2012.

My point is that your money doesn't go as far.

The below has you more than covered for your current monitor etc. If you aren't going to re-purpose your windows licence on your current PC you could transfer that to the new PC which would save ITRO £100.
