I am replacing my PC (Vista) which I use mainly for gaming. I need a computer that will be able to deal with the current crop of games and do so for the next few years.

I mainly play WoW but need it to be able to handle the up and coming MMOs such as the Old Republic.

I have come up with the following spec

Case
COOLERMASTER CM690 MKII ADVANCED CASE
Processor (CPU)
Intel® Core™i5-2500 Quad Core (3.30GHz, 6MB Cache) + HD Graphics
Motherboard
ASUS® P8P67 (NEW REV 3.0): USB 3.0, SATA 6.0GB/s, CrossFireX™
Memory (RAM)
8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X GENESIS DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz, X.M.P (2 x 4GB KIT)
Graphics Card
2GB AMD RADEON™ HD6950 - 2 DVI,HDMI,2 mDP - DX® 11, Eyefinity 4 Capable
Memory - 1st Hard Disk
1TB WD CAVIAR BLACK WD1002FAEX, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB CACHE (7200rpm)
1st DVD/BLU-RAY Drive

24x DUAL LAYER DVD WRITER ±R/±RW/RAM
Memory Card Reader
INTERNAL 52 IN 1 CARD READER (XD, MS, CF, SD, etc) + 1 x USB 2.0 PORT
Power Supply
CORSAIR 650W ENTHUSIAST SERIES™ TX650 V2-80 PLUS® BRONZE (£72)
Processor Cooling
SUPER QUIET 22dBA TRIPLE COPPER HEATPIPE CPU COOLER (£19)
Sound Card
ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)
Network Facilities
ONBOARD 10/100/1000 GIGABIT LAN PORT - AS STANDARD ON ALL PCs
USB Options
2 PORT USB 3.0 INTERNAL PCI EXPRESS CARD
Operating System
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit - inc DVD & Licence (£79)
Warranty
3 Year Silver Warranty (1 Year Collect & Return, 1 Year Parts, 3 Year Labour) (£5)

total cost inc VAT £957

I also wonder if the PSU will be sufficent for this set-up or might it need replacing if in a few years I need to upgrade the graphics card.

Any advice would be appreciated

Nice spec. I was about to suggest saving a fiver on the memory by downing it to 1333MHz and spend it on the Silver warranty but you have the extra cover already.

It will allow you to Crossfire later on with an extra graphics card, but you would of course need a bigger PSU to cover it.

That's a very good build should last you a few years easy, you might want to consider upgrading your psu if you ever want to upgrade to sli although that psu is sufficient enough to run that system.
Maybe get yourself an ssd for better performance or an ssd cache drive its cheaper than a ssd and your mobo supports ssd caching.

Thank you for the comments :), glad that it all seems to look good. I have upgraded the PSU to the 850w version so i am still (just) under budget.
