Genesis III Dead Pixel

I've got a dead pixel on my Laptop, was wondering is it worth trying to fix myself or should I send it to PC Specialist (I only got the laptop about a week ago, so its still in the 30 day guarantee)

Do you mean that you took the 30 Day dead pixel gaurantee? If so then I would send it back, otherwise whats the point in paying for the gaurantee in the first place?

'Policy' doesn't matter - trading standards does!

"The Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) and the Sale and Supply of Goods to Consumers Regulations 2002 provides the grounds on which rejection of the goods, and a refund is allowed. The Act says that goods bought must be:-"

a) as described
b) of satisfactory quality
c) fit for their purpose

- It wasn't described to have 1 dead pixel, making it 'unsatisfactory' and ALSO - like i use mine for mobile video editing made it 'Not fit for purpose'

I had 3 stuck pixels dotted about the screen on mine. - it was perfect for the first hour then they started appearing. - I just cleaned the screen gently with a screen wipe, obviously applying a gentle pressure and continued to use it. - to my surprise, after a good few hours of playing videos and trying 'http://www.jscreenfix.com/' The pixels did eventually vanish.

If the pixels are dead i.e. black and wont light up, - i think it HAS to be replaced by law ^ - but if they are just stuck, i believe you can fix them...

I had no problems dealing with PC specialist and i did report the issue, but like i said, it repaired itself after a while...

I think its a stuck one, not a dead one... Though i've been running UDpixel for a while on it, and its not budging.. I think i'll just have to back up all my files and send it back.
