getting fewer frames after an in-game stress test

a while ago, I was playing Valorant with a friend. we thought it would be funny to see how many abilities we could put in one location with the aim to crash the game. I thought this was harmless but I don't think it is. Since we did that, my pc has been getting significantly fewer frames, going down from about 300 on Valorant to about 150-200. the decreased frames also apply to other games like Battlefield and GTA 5. any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. attached is the PC's specs.

Has anything else changed? Doing what you said in Valorant is unlikely to have caused any problems it's more likely a new piece of software that could be causing issues.

Also you could try giving the system a good clean to make sure it's not overheating. A physical clean I mean

I have given the pc numerous good cleans since it happened. The reason i suspect it is due to valorant is that the friend i was playing with is also getting less frames since. it might not be the direct cause but im convinced. is there any way to see any softwares that could cause this?

Can you post your full specs from your orders page so we can see exactly what we are dealing with

Nah mate that wouldn't affect the system. Valorant isn't exactly a demanding game and the 3070 is a powerful card so I doubt it's an issue

They can handle a lot more than that without breaking a sweat, I would monitor your temperatures though as thermal throttling could be the issue?

It's hard to say without more details though I'm basically just throwing things out there at the minute

is that not what i attached in the first message or do you mean something else?

Yeah it could be anything mate so it's really difficult to pin point. Rolling back your computer to before you were having issues may narrow it down

i tried rolling it back and it worked but i now get an error when launching valorant the first time

I launched it again and it worked but the fps is still low. it doesnt seem like the fix for the issue

Might be worth running a benchmark as described here, then we can see how it's performing compared to similar builds
