GPU Upgrade recommendations

Hello,
Had my pc a couple of years now, i was thinking about upgrading the GPU so was looking for suggestions (if its even worth it)
I don't really have issues with how it currently runs games but wasn't sure if 6gb was going to be enough for newer games coming out (not that clued up on it really)

use a 1080p monitor, no plans of going higher.
typically play call of duty, star citizen, new world, iracing, euro truck sim.
budget: £300 (not a strict budget)

I'm not sure what the PCS upgrade price is, but you can get a 6700 XT for under £350 on the new market and closer to £250 if you are willing to go for a used card. That would be the most obvious upgrade.

The 4060 Ti 16GB might be a decent alternative in performance, but the cost is ridiculous and not worth it. Equally the 7700 XT is too much for the performance it offers. I wouldn't go for the 3060 Ti (even though I have one myself): not enough of a step up and only 8GB of VRAM.
