Hello, bought this computer almost a year ago, Recently obtained a new monitor and tried to set it up on the displayport of the card but I get no signal. I am using displayport in the card to hdmi in the monitor. Tried with different cables and in some of them Windows doesn´t even detect a second monitor, in one of them I can see the monitor in windows and in nvidia settings but the monitor still gets no signal. This monitor works fine with those cables dp to hdmi in my other computer, and works fine as well with hdmi
My computer was: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/orders/1340915/
The cables I have tried so far:

Thanks a lot in advance for the help

Do you know you have to configure windows for multi monitor? So once you’ve got it connected you have to adjust your display settings to output to the second monitor?

Hi SpiderTracks, thank you for your reply. Yes I know this, the problem is that Windows doesnt detect other monitor, except with 1 cable, and when it does the screen still says no signal. It should work at 1920x1080 at 60hz as it does in other computers, and thats the setting that I put

With the cable that works, can you screenshot your resolution page in windows settings?

I tried with 2 monitors, acer k272hl and acer r241y and same results with both. They work fine in other computers, other things that I´ve done are update graphic drivers and motherboard drivers and also use this tool: NVIDIA_DisplayPort_Firmware_Updater_1.0-x64

Have you tried HDMI to HDMI?

A lot of the time, display port adapter cables will only work hdmi source to DVI send and not the other way around. That's the only thing I can think could be the cause.

Thanks again for your help. I have tried about everything I can think of, but how can I try hdmi to hdmi? the card only has 1 hdmi port and 3 dvi ports, so the second monitor can only be a dp one. Also tried to just use dp to hdmi on my other monitor the main one that I am using asus VE278 with nothing else connected and I just get a peeep from the computer and no signal on the monitor. Is it possible that in this card the dp ports are just not working, hardware problem?

Sorry, I thought I’d deleted that hdmi to hdmi, realise there’s only one port.

I guess it could be a hardware issue, next way to test would be try a DP to DP somehow and see if that works.

I've had this exact same problem, the only port that works on mine is the hdmi port, when I rang pc specialist they couldn't help and suggested I send the card back, which would take several weeks, instead of just replacing it, I didn't in the end, although I would like to be able to multi screen I can manage with just the 1, seems to me, just by looking at Google theres a common problem with the 1080 display ports

you have a 1080TI card right? doesn't that card have the following ports?

1 x DVI
1 x HDMI
3 x DP

The two monitors - what connections do they have? Have you tried DVI from the card to HDMI on the monitor?

Also, the monitors, if they have more than one connector type (dvi + hdmi) check to see if they have "auto select" functionality or not. Maybe manually setting the monitor might help.

Another thing to try is to have the monitor turned ON and ready, THEN turn on the PC.

1000 series cards were stopped production many years ago, you can’t get it swapped out, there are no replacements, you have to get them RMA’d.
