Gtx 970 heat

This is probably me just being paranoid. I received my new PC Specialist computer yesterday and have been testing it out on lots of things. But one thing I have noticed is that when the computer is under a lot of graphical load, the fan goes really fast. The noise of the fan doesn't bother me, but I loaded up a GPU thermometer and it says that my Nvidia GTX 970 is 75-80 degrees Celsius when under load. Is this a dangerous heat level for it to be on. I will post the specs of my pc below:

It is not dangerous, they can reach temperatures closer to 100'C. To lower temperatures you could add more chassis fans and/or change the fan profile of your gpu

I sometimes just change my fan manually depending on what game I am playing. If I am playing total war rome 2 I change it to 50%, and if I'm playing csgo I set it to 45% (stock speeds). The varying speeds of the fan can sometimes make whining sounds if I tab out so I prefer to leave it at one speed. If it starts to get to 85-90C I would RMA for overheating or you can turn your fans up with msi afterburner like I do. At 50% my temps never go over 75C. Hope this helps

I have a mini pc too, similar spec to your own slightly higher spec, on my 970 even on heavy load (Skyrim / Elite Dangerous turned up to 11) it never gets that high. Don't know if that helps. I would have a play with it all first before sending anything back, have a look inside to see if anything could be improved ventilation wise, is there enough of a gap around your case etc., are you next to a radiator etc.
