gtx 970 sli different clock speeds and voltages under load

Hi there my new system has been working more or less perfectly with one exception as the title states

I seem to have one card running at max boost clock of 1314mhz (normal) (not at computer so screenshots of gpuz to follow)
and the other card is only running at base clock 1170mhz (from memory)
(these are core clock speeds)
the memory clocks have the same issue ofcourse.

Now the voltages are different aswell (I know software measurements are innacurate but it is quite a large difference)

There is also no load on the second card in gpuz.

SLI is enabled in geforce control panel.

In games like ac4 and crysis 3 I have confirmed I am getting a performance boost from sli in order of 175% to 200% over a single card which is expected but these gpuz readings are confusing as everything I read online says the clock speeds atleast should match never mind the voltages. (neither card is underclocking thankfully but I am getting no boost off the second card)

Any advise from anyone with sli experience would be very greatly appreciated!

thanks guys!

How many monitors are you powering? Have you try monitoring those using a different program?

hi mate, I am only using the one monitor. I will monitor with msi after burner aswell but it doesn't have a log to file option like gpuz.
