HAF-X Case

Simple question, why can't it accommodate a 52-in-1 card reader. As this isn't available, any suggestions on a suitable external replacement?

I had opted for the HAF-X over the HAF 932 primarily for the inclusion of air filters this time around, hopefully minimising dust build up.

unfortunatley i cant answer as to why, but if filters are your buying poimt the Antec 902 has just been added with changable filters.

Thanks for the responses, I did think I would end up having to buy an external USB card reader. Now to choose one which is reliable and has the same multi-functionality as the one supplied by pcspecialist.

Could someone from pcspecialist (or one of their customes with the case) please tell me the exact composition of fans and filter screens that you supply for the HAF X case. On this websites info page for the case it reads: Upto 1 x 230mm red LED fan, 3 x 200mm; with no mention of filters.

I have read conflicting pieces of information, including on Cooler Master's website forums as to what vents have filters fitted (i.e. side and bottom with or without, apparently it depended on the batch) and also the number and position of fans.

Some clarification would be much appreciated.

To some extent the specification that your order will determine whta fans and filters are fitted. If the specification gets in the way of any filters, there will be removed.

You could always get the HAF-932 instead so you can fit the card reader on.

and I believe there are companies that make addon filters for the 932.

I guess, however, and I may be wrong, think that it would be simpler buying an external MCR and already have a case fitted out with the filters.

Again, if anyone from PCS could give me a definitive answer on filter/fans fitted to the case with my specification listed I would appreciate it and can then proceed to order/consider changing the case.

Yeah an external one is probs the easier solution plus they dont cost much at all nowadays.

EDIT: In terms of filters and stuff I think what happens is they see what can be fitted from wht is given to them in the box, say, you install a GTX 470. It takes up 2 slots on the back of your PC, if you had 2 of them, there may not be enough room for the filter or what have you. This is unlikely but its just an example.

I understand that it depends on the components used in the build; with regards the filters I have read that Coolermaster now supply filters for the bottom and side grills, which they did not do in the original batch. All I wanted to know was were these fitted to the cases supplied by PCS. Doesn't make sense having filters at the top and front panels, only for the side and bottom panels to have none. The number and size of fans will depend on the components again, I wanted to enquire what the exact make up would be for my build given that I know what options there are for the case fans.

The front air intake 'should' have one id have thought? Thats where air is pulled in and consequently, dust.

Apparently the first batch had filters fitted front and top, newer batches had front, top, side and bottom fitted. I wanted to know which was supplied by PCS before ordering.

Fan set up varies I know, I was interested as to what would be supplied with the specification I have chosen. Once I get the info I can then proceed with my order.
